Kudos and thanks to all of you who have e-mailed and written your legislators. It is definitely much appreciated. I hope every single person reading MdOsprey does exactly the same thing RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE if you haven't done so already (assuming you are opposed to the bill). NO ONE has an excuse for not writing to his/her legislators. Go to http://mlis.state.md.us. If you already know who your senator/delegates are, you can e-mail them right from the website. There are only a few who don't have e-mail; for those you will have to write a regular letter. If you don't know who your representatives are, you can go to the button for finding a legislator, and there is a form to fill in your address, and it will tell you who they are. And get a non-MdOsprey friend to do the same. Let me say again that this wasn't directed to anyone individual. And the only ones who should feel ashamed of themselves are those who can't even be bothered to e-mail their reps. The point of my message is that (a) it seems improbably to me that only two of us could get to Annapolis when hundreds have been able to get to St. Mary's City which is a much longer drive than Annapolis, and it's obvious that many people have been able to get there on weekdays, meaning that either they don't work, or they can take the time off from work to see a bird (b) it's hard to persuade legislators that birders are a big factor when only 2 people show up and (c) we need our organized representation such as ANS in there fighting with us.
