Fort Smallwood is located on the western shore of the
Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River,
about 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD.  All numbers
are unofficial.

A grand week with good weather and mostly favorable
winds, except for 3/21's rain. The 65 Black Vultures
that tried to speck by smashed the previous daily record
of 32 (1998), and the 61 Kestrels on 3/18 is a
great number this early in March. Amazingly, after
such a slow start, we're now ahead of last year's 
pace by about 80 birds.
