Hi all,

Am. Toads are back at my old backyard pond. 8 males and 4 females
seen all night today along with a young Leopard Frog. There are 500 eggs
so far today. They are late this spring, last year the early record was
March 27, 1998.
The new pond with natural setting will be done sometimes in late
April. The pond will be about 16' by 4' to 8' with common cattail, and
other water plants, and 20' by 2' to 3' stream with at least 3' fall
waterfall will be home to goldfish, baby painted turtle, baby red-eared
slider, and several wildlife. Both turtles will come when the pond is
finish, and they are at a temporary off-exhibit at Horsehead Wetlands
Center where I work once a month.
