Hi! Saturday I went to Seneca at dawn - On the river were
Common Loons (2) in breeding plumage and on the towpath were
       Myrtle (40+), Pine (1), Parula (1), Yellow Palm (10+),
Louisiana Waterthrush (3) and Yellow-throated (2) Warblers. In
the late afternoon, I went to Turkey Run Park (Virginia side of
the Potomac inside the DC Beltway) looking mostly at the
wildflowers. But did see several Yellow Palms and Louisiana
Waterthrushes. Bonaparte's Gulls and Purple Martins were
flying over the Potomac and a large number of Double-crested
Cormorants (probably over 300) were sitting on the rocks in the
river and in the trees on the Maryland side. Happy birding,
       Dan Eberly
