Folks,

Some interesting migrants noted at Huntley were Black and White and
Black-throated Green mixed in with Yellow-rumps as I walked in. Nearby a
Red-eyed Vireo began calling. Out on the pond were two male Scaup. One had
a peaked head, the other flat-headed, otherwise the size, structure and
coloration were similar. So, just chalk it up to a flat-headed Lesser (one
was at Mason Neck last March)? Then, one of the birds flapped and the white
speculum was visible and extended only halfway up the wing. Mystery solved.

At Dyke during lunch, 2 E. Kingbirds, 1 first yr Orchard Oriole male, 1
Yellow Warbler and 2 Spotted Sandpipers were noted.
