After returning from a month-long trip to Bird Pergatory (a.k.a. the
beautiful Mediterranean isle of Malta), I thirsted for a taste of migration
in a land where no one shoots or traps passerines. Fortunately, jet lag
woke me before sunrise. I headed over to Hughes Hollow (HH), followed by
Seneca (S). Here are migrant highlights:

white-eyed vireo 1 HH
blue-headed vireo 1 HH
warbling vireo 1 S
yellow-throated vireo	1 HH
northern parula 8 S

prairie warbler 2 River Road near HH
palm warbler 4 S

prothonotary warbler 1 HH, 1 S
northern waterthrush 1 HH
Louisiana waterthrush	4 S
common yellowthroat 1 Hunting Quarter Rd., 1 HH
bobolink two males HH in trees on right after first impoundment (a
major surprise)
