Spent a couple hours Friday afternoon wading around the impoundments at =
Hughes Hollow checking my swallow nest boxes. Not a whole lot around =
except for the tree swallows. Best find of the day was a Least =
Bittern-not unusual here but a little bit early. It flew over the =
east-west causeway near the area where the Yellow Warbler is on =
territory. Other birds of interest were 2 Great Blues, 6 Green Herons, =
pair of Blue-winged Teal, 2 Coots, a Black Vulture and a calling Barred =
Owl.
