Hi,

I did a survey at the Patuxent Research Refuge North Tract last evening,
and came up with 13 warbler species, including a Nashville right along
Wildlife Loop. The bird was incessantly singing its two-parted song in a
small island of trees on the left side of the loop just past the Upland
Dog Training Area, and just prior to Duvall Bridge Rd. The clump of trees
and underbrush sits in front of the Duvall Cemetery. You don't even need
to get out of your car for this one. This bird was sitting less than 200
yards from where I found my only 1998 Nashville Warbler, last April.

Also picked up was my first ACADIAN FLYCATCHER of the season, singing
along the river trail by the Visitor Contact Station. At the Wildlife
viewing area ten PURPLE MARTINS were counted, now established in the
martin house there. First Canada Goose goslings were seen last Wednesday,
28 April.
