Fort Smallwood is located on the western shore of the
Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Patapsco River,
about 11 miles south of Baltimore, MD. All numbers
are unofficial.

The pattern of easterly winds finally broke and we
promptly broke new ground along with it. We surpassed
by one, our season record for Black Vultures (New
Record: 265) and the 14000 mark is now history.
Yesterday and today not only brought 200+ raptors
each day, but also scads of passerine migrants, with
Blue Jays, Swallows, and Bobolinks the most numerous.
