"Hawk Watch site" ridge

Hi all,



    Went up to the ridge with Greg Miller and Elliot Kirschbaum to see 
what is up there. Many warblers and some vireos are calling.


  5  Common Loon - flyby, headed NW
  2  Mourning Dove
  1  Red-bellied Woodpecker
  3  Chimney Swift
  1  Acadian Flycatcher - heard
  8  Am. Crow
 11  Blue Jay - many flyby
  5  Carolina Chickadee
  1  Tufted Titmouse - heard, 
  1  House Wren - heard
  2  Cedar Waxwing - heard, possible more
 13  Gray Catbird
  1  Swainson's Thrush - heard
  1  ?  vireo - disappear again before we identify it
  2  N. Parula - seen, other heard
  1  Chestnut-sided Warbler - heard, possible more
  1  Magnolia Warbler - heard
  1  Blackburnian Warbler - heard
  2  Blackpoll Warbler - seen, plus many heard
  2  Black-and-white Warbler
  3  Am. Redstart
  1  C. Yellowthroat
  2  Canada Warbler
  1  Scarlet Tanager - heard
  4  N. Cardinal
  1  Orchard Oriole - heard
  1  Song Sparrow

27 species seen or heard, maybe more. There might be more because Greg 
and Elliot heard other birds calling. And I like to thanks to them for 
coming to listen for any birds and had some new birds for ridge list. A 
total of 112 species recorded at the "Hawk Watch site" ridge since 1992, 
with 10 new record this past month.
