The BC Xantus's Hummer, which was present for six months or more as I
recall, was not accepted by the local records committee, due to questions
about its origin.  The CA record was accepted by the CA committee as far as
I know.  The species is apparently non-migratory, and the appearance of the
BC bird could not be explained by any unusual weather conditions.
