Dear all, Saturday morning at Cromwell Valley Park, I had an enjoyable few hours. I caught two Cromwell "specialties:" blue grosbeak and bobolink. Warblers included a Kentucky (who kept singing and kept sneaking just out of range of my binoculars), a most accomodating Wilson's, a singing northern waterthrush, and a mourning warbler! (I have not seen a mourning warbler in years! I'm glad for the unusual numbers being seen this year.) The warbler was singing ("Torrey, Torrey, Torrey" - but no "Webeeoh"). I was thrilled. It was compensation, in small measure, for not being able to attend the MOS convention.
