A Brewster's Warbler was seen at Indian Springs Wildlife Management area
in Washington County Md. Field marks observed include:

- Yellow Forehead
- Black eyeline
- light gray back
- white throat
- no yellow on underparts
- two yellow wingbars
The bird was singing the two note song of the Blue-winged Warbler.
Directions:
From interstate 70 take the Clear Spring exit and follow signs to Ski
Resort.
Park at the South end of Blairs Valley Lake below the dam. Walk along
the Dam and follow the trail that leads around the lake. Shortly you will
begin
to see a dirt road/trail that leads up to the foot of the mountains. Follow
this dirt road through a series of fields until it deadends. Head right or
North through this field until you find a the power ling cut and follow this
to the edge of the clearing. Listen for the two note Blue-winged song.
The chapter on Washington Co in Claudia Wilds book gives directions and
gives overview on birds species likely to be seen...... page 121.
P.s. There is lots of poison ivy in the fields...
