Hi Folks!

Ryan Lesh & I started birding while eating dinner on my deck. There were lots
of swallows passing by: 100s of Tree, 12s of Barn, and a few Rough-wing &
Bank. Four Cattle Egrets winged north. Offshore there were 2 Common Loons in
breeding plumage. The highlight from the deck were 3 Black Skimmers heading
north [yes, beuing County Listers, we watched them fly into Anne Arundel].

The marsh at the north end of town had some nice shorebirds:

Semipalmated Plover - 10
Black-bellied Plover - 1
Killdeer - 2
Greater Yellowlegs - 1
Lesser Yellowlegs - 2
Least Sandpiper - 11
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 14
Red Knot - 1
Short-billed Dowitcher - 13

We plan to listen for Whimbrel this evening and check the marsh again in the
morning.

Good Birding!

Jim
