Hey Daryl:

Red-banded Hairstreaks become increasingly common as the year
progresses, but there seem to be more early season sightings than usual
this year. It's a species that has gone from rare to common around here
over the last couple decades, so this year's spate of early sightings
may be part of the long-term trend.

Bird-wise, had a wonderfully cooperative GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH (not
looking at all Bicknell's-like, whateverthat's worth) on Saturday in the
parking lot of the Rock Creek Nature Center, DC>
