Where are the shorebirds?

	******************* WHSRN Bulletin ***********************

Please help with the following request:

We expected to have 70,000 knot, very large numbers of turnstone
and sanderling, to be staging in Delaware Bay, on the east coast of the
USA. Currently there are only about half the numbers normally expected
at this time of year, possibly due to birds being delayed further south.

To help us understand what is going on this year we would like any
information on sites where knot, sanderling or turnstone are currently
present in concentrations of 100 or more on the east coast of North,
Central or South America.

If you have any information please reply to dbaywaders@aol.com

Many thanks,

Delaware Bay International Shorebird Team
