Did the big loop today, parking at Wakefield Rec. Center,
then walking to, and around, Lake Accontink. With many
stops to investigate interesting calls, it took me from
10:30 to 1:30. Interesting sightings included a Spotted
Sandpiper just N of the bridge across Accotink Creek, a
Green Heron and 2 Little Blue Herons (adult & juvenile)
where the creek feeds into the lake, 3 male Prothonotary
Warblers at 2 sites on the E side of the lake, a female
Pileated Woodpecker who let me watch her debark a stump
right next to the path, and Barn Swallows who seem to hope
that they will once again be permitted to nest under the
canopy of the barge.

For futher information, feel free to call me!
