To all Ospreyers going on the Lewes pelagic trips this month:
Based on the information that Marcia provided, I went ahead and made a
reservation to stay at the Univ. of Del. Verdon Conference Center, for one
night. The cost is about $72 (for a couple), which is a bit better than
the motels. The only disadvantage is that it's two miles from the dock, so
you can't walk to the boat in the morning. But the environment sounds
great. The way they work is that you pay for the room via credit card,
and they then give you the combo to a lock box with the key. Check in
begins at 2 p.m., and checkout is 11 a.m. If you call the day ahead, you
might be able to make arrangements to get the room earlier. I'm looking
forward to trying it out!
