Love my Audubon EDs. Have compared images to many others, including
Ultralights and regular Audubons, and the view is clearly superior
(brighter, mostly). I've only seen a better image in super-top end
bins (Nikon E's; very close to Leica and Zeiss roofs, really a matter
of judgment). Have never had any fogging problem, despite much
wet-weather use, even though the weatherproofing isn't really
complete.
The weight really isn't bad in the long term, as they fit the hand so
well. Although haven't used Ultralights much, strongly advise
choosing better image over their lighter package. Spring for ED if
you can, of course. You won't find a better image under $600 (or
maybe more).
