I have the Nikon Superior 8x32.  They are excellent.  They are not water 
proof.  Last year they got soaked in Winnipeg, and there were no problems.

I bought them at Penn Camera last year for $600.  A few weeks ago they were 
advertised for $50 off.  They didn't say off of what.
