-->>>>>>> Next Section <<<<<<< Content-Type: Text/Plain; charset=US-ASCII For Anyone Interesred: WANTED Field Intern - Breeding Bird Survey Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, is seeking an individual to survey birds in forest and wetland habitats from June through July, 1999. The surveyor will be required to locate a total of some 100 grid points using GPS, record all birds seen and heard at each point, enter all data into a computer, and write areport summarizing the findings. Qualifications: Successful applicants will have excellent bird identification skills, both by sight and sound; be able to work in a hot, humid outdoor environment with numerous biting insects; and be in good physical condition with the ability to walk long distances through thick undergrowth and over uneven and slippery marsh. Experience with computer data entry andGPS is desirable. Housing and a $500 stipend are available.
