Decided to look for the CLIFF SWALLOWS at the Howard/Carroll county line. We were well rewarded with numerous birds nesting under the bridge. Great looks as they swooped over the water and flew up toward their nests with food. Hugg-T was fairly noisy with breeding birds singing everywhere. The warblers found were PARULA, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, KENTUCKY and HOODED. RED-EYE, WHITE-EYE and YELLOW-THROATED VIREOS were singing. Good numbers of ACADIANS were throughout the woods and a few PEWEES singing also. INDIGO BUNTINGS and FIELD SPARROWS singing up a storm. Lots of gnats! Bonnie Ott
