I did confirm today from the USFWS that they do have a Kirtland's tour
EVERY day out of Grayling at 7:00 and 11:00 starting at the Holiday Inn,
so I can get a tour on Monday or Tuesday after all. I added up the time
from Milwaukee to Grayling this morning and it is 10 hours, then it's 7
hours back to Chicago to fly home, which will leave me with about 24
hours in Kirtland's territory. Between a tour or two, and some wandering
around, it sounds like my chances are pretty good so I think I'll go for
it. With all these responses, I guess I HAVE TO go for it. I'll give a
report in about two weeks.

So thank you Joe, Bill, Greg, Larry, Elliot, Jane, Bart, Ann, and Tyler,
(I hope I didn't miss any of you), and any subsequent responders. We
could put this all together and make a best-seller.
