Greetings

My wife and I just returned from Chincoteague. Birding highlights =
were:

Two Black-necked Stilts on Causeway( Located on north side in small =
pools of water just before the last bridge when heading into town)

Two Black-necked Stilts located in the north-most pool on the =
wildlife loop drive.

Pair of Blue Grosbeaks on the wildlife loop drive (located at the =
first body of water on the north side as you take the loop road to =
the right)

Piping Plover chick. Located in the cage enclosure in the roped off =
restricted area south of the south-most parking lot. An adult was =
still on the nest. Access to the beach ORV zone may be restricted =
if the chicks approach the rope. The beach ORV zone was closed =
to all (walkers and vehicles alike ) on Wednesday, June 23

American Oystercatcher Chicks. Two chicks were located near a nest =
furhter south of the plover nest site.

At least 120 Black Skimmers in a colony with some on nests about =
300-400 yards south of the ORV checkpoint.

Many LeastTern and Common Tern nest sites are in the roped off area.

The weather was fantastic after the storm blew through on Tuesday.
