I spent about three hours at Huntley Meadows yesterday morning - saw a
Mississippi Kite around 10:20am pass the antenna in a northerly
direction. No luck with the Swallow-tailed Kite. At the visitor's
center they said it had not be relocated since Saturday (June 19.)

     Other birds:

     Bald Eagle - 1 adult, 1 immature
Red-shouldered Hawk eating a young Red-winged Blackbird (I think it
was since the hawk was being harassed by a couple Red-winged
     Blackbirds as it ate.)
     King Rail - heard 3
     Red-headed Woodpecker
     Green Herons 10+
     Yellow-billed Cuckoo

Hi all --

I spoke to a friend yesterday evening, and he had seen the Mississippi Kite
at Huntley Meadows Park yesterday (that is, June 24) at around 11:30 am.

So it is still around, although the Swallow-tailed has apparently left for
pastures new...
