Folks, Spent some time birding along the Potomac, on No. VA Park Authority Land which lies from the western edge of Riverbend Park west to nearly the county line today, 27 June 99 (the portion at the end of Promontory Rd looks very good for migrants, lots of second growth, a little understory, somewhat open leading to forested canopy (both Pro and LA were there). This area, and some of the surrounding surburban horsepasture/housing subdivs were birded from about 0645 to about 1030. I then visited Great Falls, mainly in the great swamp area, from about 1045-1200.
