I saw a yellow breasted chat at Hughes Hollow this morning at 08:30. The bird was singing from cover and then emerged and started singing from a tree branch. I got an excellent look at him. The location is the first treeline on the right after the fork in the road. This is the treeline between the second and third cultivated fields (soybeans I believe). I also saw plentiful indigo bunting, yellow throat, green herons and catbirds. I saw a single yellow warbler and wood thrush.
