Anything above Great Falls, on to the beginning of the Ridge and Valley section in mid-Frederick County is considered the Piedmont. Acadian Flycatchers, in the proper habitat and at the right time of the year, have always struck me as being abundant birds. I'm hoping that Lynn Davidson will see these messages and comment on the status of ACFL since she's one of the folks in DNR responsible for maintaining the State list of species of special concern.
