Saw a Glossy Ibis (OK it could have been a White-faced) flying north up Jug Bay at 8:36 pm today (7-13). Also there were 2 dowitchers at the marsh in North Beach today(and a Les. Yel.). By the way, if anyone needs Iceland Gull for Calvert Co. or for July or whatever list they may be keeping -- there is a bird on the north jetty in Chesapeake Beach that seems to fit the bill. It is quite easily seeable along with RB's, GBB's, HERR's and Laugh's from the dead end street almost directly across from where 260 and 261 intersect. i call it "slow children street" because there are no other signs indicating its real name. i don't think anyone else has mentioned this bird, apologies if they have. Here's an O.T. question -- does anyone know what the vile grass that covers most of the woods at Huntley Meadows is? danny bystrak jug bay
