However, several years ago we had a non-singing Wht-throated sparrow in the yard from the middle of July through the rest of the summer 'till the other Wht-throats arrived. At that time someone speculated that the bird might have been injured & never migrated in the first place. I watched the bird at every opportunity and never noticed that it had a problem with flying.
