This morning at Easton STP I was approaching the site where Stan Arnold and Wayne Bell were watching the Ruff, and got there just in time to see a silhouette of a large shorebird flying away! But persistence pays off - about 45 minutes later, the subject Ruff reappeared, and remained on site until at least 11:10, at which time I departed, leaving the watch to several other MDO subscribers who had converged out there to enjoy the treat of the Ruff, many other shorebirds. Some also found their way to a view of the Bobolinks that were lingering in the grassy evaporation fields. Good Birding! Les Roslund Easton MD
