Hi all: We worked pretty hard to find a few ( and I do mean a few ) shorebirds in Cecil this am but in the end found water in several spots. Thanks to Marshall for the news of Court House Points` bone dry status, not surprising given the drought. An impoundment on the Chesapeake City canal lands had 2 Greater Yellowlegs, 3 Semi-palm SP. 3 Bobolinks perched in nice view ( this looks like good breeding habitat for them ). Also looks like nice sparrow habitat to be checked during migration. Were numerous Grasshoppers singing. The fish-hatchery ponds in Elkton had 2 Solitary Sandpipers, 6 Least Sandpipers, 3 Little Blue Herons and 2 Green Herons. Leslie Fisher Cecil County
