Brown's Bridge is the Ednor Road crossing of the Patuxent River and marks
the widening of the river due to the Laurel dam which creates the T. Howard
Duckett Reservoir (often known also as Rocky Gorge Reservoir).

There are parking areas at either end of the bridge. On the Montgomery
County side you get some views of the river not possible from the other
side. From the Howard County side you get foot access to down-river
sections not visible at all from the bridge.

If you walk up ontop the bridge itself be very cautious--for some reason
the people who drive across this bridge think it necessary to do it in a
big hurry, like at about 60-70 mph. I suppose they are in a hurry
to get back to their respective counties.

Anyway, on a map of Montgomery County, look for Ednor Road. On
a map of Howard County, look for Brown's Bridge Road. The name
changes at the bridge.

Best,
Norm
