Hi All: The ultimate in laziness........ Managed to get myself un-hammocked long enough to post this. Am making good use of recent combo birthday/anniversary present from husband. From the hammock: fall migration evident with increase in ROBINS and TREE SWALLOWS swarming overhead. A late fledgling SONG-SPARROW begging( amusing to hear the young trying out their voice), HUMMINGBIRD buzzing in to take nectar from the Lobelia Cardinalis. CAROLINA WRENS scolding in the background, resident CATBIRDS skulking in and out of the dense Riverbirch foliage, the high pitched calls of CEDAR WAXWINGS feeding from the wild cherries,GOLDFINCHES making a chattering appearance and a male CARDINAL swooping in at dusk to the overhead branches of the maple tree, looking for one last seed. Have enjoyed reading all the shorebird posts. `spose I ought to get out there myself!! Leslie Fisher Cecil County
