[MDOsprey] Elkton- Fish Hatchery Ponds

Hi All:
A quick trip into the fish hatchery ponds at noon ( a beautiful day
)yielded the usual cast of characters for this time of year, including:
Little Blue Heron ( 2 )- one adult, one immature
Green Heron ( 2 )
Cattle Egret ( 1)
Great Egret ( 4 )
Solitary Sandpiper ( 3 )
Western Sandpiper ( 1 )
Belted Kingfisher (1 )
Many swallows swooping over the ponds- Tree, Barn and Purple Martin.
Cedar Waxwings were active, as well as Robins, feasting on wild
cherries.
