Correction: Quite a few observers forwarded documentation on the Sandgates, MD Kelp Gull, especially photos. However, I have NO submissions (except for two slides from Marshall) for the Conowingo Dam putative Slaty-backed Gull. I think everyone was scared off by all the discussion of it being a possible hybrid. As Marshall pointed out, even if it is a hybrid, it likely was hatched in the Aleutians and it is still a significant avian event for Maryland. Please, please forward any notes, photos or other documentation. We want to have this information in our files. We'll figure out how to review it later. Thanks in advance.
