Phil and all-- A visiting birder from TN, in the area trying for the kelp gull, called after he'd gotten the Kelpster, and left a message on our home machine saying he knew it sounded strange, but he thought he had a possible spotted redshank at Assateague on Saturday. Unfortunately, he was calling from a pay phone and driving back to TN, and our machine cuts messages off at one minute, so we didn't get the full details. He's an ABA member with an email address, so I'll write to him and ask if he can post further details.
