A visit along John Brown Road at 10:00 this morning yielded nine Lesser Golden Plovers and one Buff-breasted Sandpiper (and 41 Killdeer) in the rapidly growing grass field near the south-east limits of the sod farm. That grass was about belly-high to the Buffy this morning, but is mowed regularly so should continue to be very favorable habitat. The Golden Plovers shuttled back and forth between that field and the field far away from the road south of the sod farm office. My best viewing this morning was from the roadside.
