[MDOsprey] Montgomery County meeting

Hi, Ospreyers:
Everyone is invited to attend the first meeting of the
season of the Montgomery County Chapter/MOS, Thursday,
Sept 9, at 7:30 pm. The featured speaker will be Dr.
Robert Fleisher, an evolutionary geneticist at the
National Zoo, who will report on DNA research on extinct
and endangered birds of the Hawaiian Islands: "Birds of
Paradise Lost."
During the preceding business session, Paul O'Brien will
bring us up to date on the workings of the Maryland/DC
Records Committee.
The meeting will take place at the Potomac Presbyterian
Church, 10301 River Road, Potomac (just north/west of
Falls Rd). NB: Parking on the church grounds will be at
a premium Thursday evening, since the adjacent
elementary school is sponsoring its annual
back-to-school picnic from 6 to 8. Check the shopping
center across the street for additional options.
