Today, after a brief unproductive stop at Milford Mill, Gail Frantz and I ended up returning to Ft Howard. We followed virtually the same route as I did yesterday with so many warblers. But, alas, they already left. Where did they go? We did see about 3 Magnolias, 2 B&W's, 1 Redstart, 1 Chestnut-sided, 1 Ovenbird, 3 Swainson's Thrushes, 1 Wood Thrush, 2 Veeries. Again, no significant hawk flight. In other words, it was a pretty typical September day in the Baltimore area as it has been in recent years. Steve Sanford Randallstown MD
