The White Pelican was on its snag just North of the Wilson Bridge Monday (13 Sep) evening at 1910, and again Tuesday AM (0655). Kurt Gaskill had seen it off the mouth of Hunting Creek around 1700 Monday. And a single adult Royal Tern was feeding over the Potomac not far off the shore off the playing fields just N of the Gravelly Point parking lots when I passed by around 1845 Monday evening. Cheers and good birding, Sherman Suter Alexandria, VA 22307 ssuter@aaas.org
