Hurricane Floyd did its best to throw a new meteorological event at the Kelp Gull, which was wise enough not to be present during the peak of the 50+ mph winds and 12" of rain we received here in St. Mary's County on Thursday, September 16 (though we were unwise enough to be out there checking on it; duh). However, the Kelp Gull was happily splashing away in the waves today, September 17, at the Sea Breeze (following a fresh deposit of bait to the waters of the Patuxent, compliments of the restaurant managers), when I stopped by around 11:15 a.m. The Kelp Gull was there when I left.
