During the howard county fall count today Carol Garza and I tallied over 1200 Broad wings at Rockburn Branch park. This was a small number compared to what was out there but they were very hard to count with any accuracy. The horizon was filled with birds kettling up starting at 9:45 continuing until 11:00. We had one huge kettle with 600 birds. We also had two Bald eagles. This evening we had another 150 streaming over my house in Ellicott city. They were heading west at 5:30 p.m. Bonnie Ott
