Hi all, sparrows have arrived at last! This morning Jo and I birded Meadowbrook park (Rt. 100). Please be forwarned that the area is very wet, thick and no paths. We really had to push our way through some areas, with vegetation up to our heads. A push of SONG SPARROWS with over 30 birds. One lone FIELD SPARROW in the multi-flora. Two georgous LINCOLNS SPARROWS that gave us marvelous views. A BLUE GROSBEAK and a few INDIGO BUNTINGS were in the shrubs. The first two PALM WARBLERS of the fall I've encountered.
