[MDOsprey] RBNU in Reisterstown

1.Yesterday, 9/19/99, while lunching on my deck I enjoyed having a 
red-breasted nuthatch perch on the bracket holding a hummingbird feeder and 
sipping water from the ant trap above the feeder. The earliest previous date 
for fall sightings of RBNU at this location was October 7, 1995. 

2.Goldfinches also seem attracted to the hummingbird feeder. From time to 
time one has tried to feed from it.

3. In addition to the cardinal with a black head which I mentioned earlier, I 
also have had one with a red head but black nape, and lately, one which has 
extensive black on its back. Any ideas what is going on?
