Tyler et al.,

If only that was me on the Tyrannus caudifasciatus!!! No, in fact, that was
seen by Mike Nelson out of Portland, OR, several days back. Other goodies
from the project that have not come from my Platform have been Red-billed
Tropicbird (AL), Greater Shearwater (AL, LA), Bell's Vireo (TX), Selasphorus
sp. (TX), and a couple surprising species for offshore in Gulf Waters have
been Red-headed Woodpecker (AL), and, you guessed it, Red-breasted Nuthatch
(LA, so far...).

I've had a set of very slow days recently, but did have my first Peregrine
Falcon show up the other day, and a few new birds have been around today
including my first Marsh Wren, hopping around on the open decks.

I'll let you all know when I top that Loggerhead Kingbird...

Best,

Marshall Iliff
