Last Sept. 23 I had a record backyard day with 37 species for my small backyard. This a.m. was no match, but still filled with exciting activity. Highlights: 1 Nashville warbler, 1-2 black-thr. green warbler(s), 2 No. parula warblers, one chestnut-sided warbler, one pewee, one rose-breasted grosbeak, one brown thrasher. But the day's not close to over yet! Incidentally, has anyone seen the white pelican these last few days? I hope to get out there soon. Thanks! Howard Youth Rockville, MD hmyouth@erols.com
