Hi All: Sometimes it pays to stay home. 3 yard firsts in the last 16 hrs. Caught 3 flyover COMMON SNIPE ( from the hammock ), calling as they passed. Listened to a CD to confirm- Yesss! This am, heard the familiar " toot, toot " of RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH. Not much later, as we sat along our woodland edge, my husband " the non-birder " remarked- " a warbler just landed right in front of us." It sure was, a TENNESSEE in beautiful clean plummage, gray cap, black eye-line, white supercilium, clean white underparts and olive/yellow tinged upper. A beautiful bird. Also 3 Broadwings soaring exceptional naked eye view right over the yard. Leslie Fisher Cecil Co. leslie fisher wrote:
