This morning Mary Jo Betts and I birded Font Hill Wetlands park. We had
the best sighting of a LINCOLNS SPARROW I have ever had. The little guy
perched aprox. 10- feet from us in a small sapling. We froze and he
continued with his buisness of his morning preening session as we stood
and watched. We were able to study every detail of his plumage as he
shook himself and turned every which way. He continuously raised his
crest to create a spikey point. He also kept his tail cocked upwards and
we were able to see the fine streaking on his undertail coverts. It was
an incredible moment.
We also had other nice sparrows
	Lincolns total- 2
	Swamp -2
	White-Throat-2
	Song -20

Magnolia, Black Throated Green, Blackpoll, Pine, Bay-Breasted warblers
along with all the usual suspects.

Font Hill is an excellent spot to find Lincolns. It is a TINY wetland
park in Ellicott City. It has paved paths and boardwalks. If anyone can
swing by during the next week I think their chances are excellent for
finding Lincoln's and all other great sparrows.
