The Baltimore Bird Club field trip to Cromwell Valley Park, Baltimore Co east of Towson featured a good hawk flight: 22 Sharpies 4 Coopers 14 Broadwings 3 Harriers (all right together) 2 Osprey 3 Kestrels 2 Red Shoulders 1 Red-tail Most of the hawks were between 10AM and 11:30. Some species that were the first of the season for many of us were: Yellow-bellied Sapsucker (2) Red-Br Nuthatch (1) Ruby-Cr Kinglet (3) Myrtle Warbler (2) White-throated Sparrow (2) Some other goodies were 2 Blue Grosbeaks, 3 Magnolia Warblers, 2 Scarlet Tanagers, 3 Rose-br Grosbeaks, 2 Yellow-billed Cuckoos, a Thrasher, and about 20 Bluebirds of various ages.
